In and Out’s Secret Menu

In and Out is truly one of Southern California’s culinary institutions. Famed for it’s simple, yet well executed menu, the In and Out burger is unrivaled among fast food chains. The secret to this superior burger lies in the fact that the ingredients are delivered fresh and are never frozen, without and additives or preservatives.
LA is a town which thrives on exclusivity and inside information. We like our bars in dark alleys without signs, and secret restaurants with unlisted phone numbers. Even lowly hamburger joints aren’t exempt from this fundamental aspect of life in LA.
The Secret Menu
That’s right, In and Out has a secret menu. Although the secret menu items aren’t listed on any of their official menus, they will show up on your receipt if you order them. Generally, the secret menu consists of variations of things on the regular menu. Here is a list of some of the most popular items:
- Animal Style - You can order any burger “animal style,” which means it comes with lettuce, tomato, extra spread, pickles, grilled onions, and mustard fried into the patty.
- Protein Style - The burger is wrapped in large leaves of lettuce instead of placing it on a bun.
- Wish Burger - A burger without meat or cheese.
- 4×4 - A burger with 4 patties of beef, and 4 slices of cheese.
- Flying Dutchman - 2 patties of beef and 2 slices of cheese, nothing else.
- Neopolitan Shake - A strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla blended shake
